Suggested Annual Membership Dues
- Individual
- $ 0 member of a member transit advocacy group
- $10 at-large or unaffiliated of limited income (student, low income)
- $25 regular
- Organization
- $ 50 non-profit or cooperative without paid staff
- $ 75 non-profit or cooperative with paid staff
- $100 Small for-profit business (5 or fewer employees)
- $300 Large for-profit business
- Be recognized on state and national levels as a friend of public transit;
- Obtain opportunities to sign-on with others to letters in favor of pro-public transit legislation;
- Get ideas, make contacts and share what works or doesn’t work for programs and actions from other transit advocates;
- Learn how to effectively voice your pro-public transit stance to local and state-level government and business leaders;
- Join our email group where we share relevant up-to-date information;
- Participate in our meetings (most are virtual; annual Spring meeting is hybrid);
- Access our archive of past meeting Minutes, committee reports and other miscellaneous documents;
- Have a subdirectory web area on WTRA’s website (often costing $100+/yr or more).
501(c)(3) Tax Status
As an umbrella organization, it is possible for chapters to benefit from WTRA’s 501(c)(3) status and become eligible for grants and other donations requiring such status. Contact Treasurer Susan De Vos at smdevos@witransitriders.org and read #9 of this for more discussion.
